Respite Activities





*Arts and crafts: children are exposed to various mediums and processes, like cutting, gluing, sculpting, beading, painting, stamping, folding and sensory exploration with play dough, shaving cream, and goop. Fine motor skills are emphasized.










*Dramatic play: kids can dress up, play house, or role play in our play house and kitchen area.


*Playing with toys: teacher-facilitated to develop independent and cooperative play skills, in addition to developing age-appropriate speech and language skills.



*Reading corner: many teacher-supported reading experiences to develop age-appropriate speech and language skills.



*Daily outdoor play: playstructure and many outdoor toys in fenced-in area. Gross motor games and activities are teacher-directed.
